Terry Brown

Terry Brown is the former Chairman and Honorary Life President of West Ham United F.C., having led the Club from 1993 to 2007 following a highly successful business career.

A passionate supporter of the local community, Terry has long been committed to charitable causes and was one of the first patrons of Ambition Aspire Achieve. In recognition of his generous support and sponsorship of our flagship hub in Canning Town, the centre was renamed The Terence Brown Arc in his honour, reflecting his lasting contribution to our charity and the young people we support.

Glyn Hopkin

Glyn Hopkin is the former founder and former Managing Director of Glyn Hopkin Ltd. Established in 1993 with a single Nissan dealership in Romford, the business has grown into one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, representing more than 10 leading vehicle brands across over 40 dealerships throughout London and the surrounding counties.

A longstanding supporter of children, young people and the local community, Glyn has championed the work of Kevin Jenkins and Community Links for more than 15 years and continues to support the mission of Ambition Aspire Achieve. In recognition of his generous commitment and ongoing support, our Stratford hub, opened in 2018, was named the Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub in his honour, celebrating his significant contribution to the charity and the communities we serve.

Lyn Brown

Baroness Lyn Brown of Silvertown served as the Member of Parliament for West Ham from 2005 to 2024, representing the community in which she was born and raised. Educated locally in Newham before studying at Roehampton University, Lyn has dedicated her career to public service and championing opportunities for local people.

Throughout her time in Parliament, she held a number of ministerial and shadow ministerial roles and was a passionate advocate for fair funding, the Living Wage and improving outcomes for communities across East London. She now continues her public service as a member of the House of Lords.

As a Patron of Ambition Aspire Achieve, Lyn is proud to support our work empowering children and young people across Newham, helping them to build confidence, develop new skills and achieve their full potential.

Ricky Grover

Ricky Grover is an actor, comedian and writer who has been a valued friend and supporter of Ambition Aspire Achieve since the charity was founded in 2016. Born and raised in Newham, Ricky has enjoyed a successful career across television, film and comedy, appearing in productions including Red Dwarf, EastEnders, Porridge and After Life.

Proud of his East London roots, Ricky is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped him. As a Patron of Ambition Aspire Achieve, he is committed to supporting local children and young people, helping to inspire confidence, create opportunities and encourage them to achieve their full potential.
