Connecting With Nature

Officially opened in 2025, the Kevin Jenkins OBE Outdoor Learning Centre is Ambition Aspire Achieve's dedicated outdoor education and adventure hub. Named in honour of our founder, Kevin Jenkins OBE, the centre continues his vision of giving every child and young person the opportunity to discover the outdoors, challenge themselves and develop the confidence and resilience to succeed.

Located in the heart of Stratford, adjacent to the Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub, the centre provides a unique natural learning environment where children and young people can connect with nature while developing practical life skills, teamwork and independence. Throughout the year, we deliver a wide range of outdoor learning programmes, environmental education, holiday activities and adventurous experiences for schools, youth groups and the wider community.

Our experienced staff create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, encourage exploration and help young people build lasting connections with the natural world. Whether it's learning bushcraft skills, cooking over an open fire or taking part in team challenges, every session is designed to develop confidence, resilience, communication and problem-solving skills.

Throughout the year, the Outdoor Learning Centre is home to a diverse range of activities, including:

  • Woodland Warriors Forest School Term Time Club

  • Outdoor learning workshops

  • Forest school sessions

  • Environmental education programmes

  • Team building and adventure activities

  • Holiday programmes and family activities

  • School visits and curriculum enrichment sessions

    Our Outdoor Learning Centre also supports many of our wider programmes, with children and young people from across our projects regularly visiting to experience the benefits of learning outdoors and developing a greater appreciation for nature and the environment.

School Visits

The Kevin Jenkins OBE Outdoor Learning Centre welcomes schools, colleges and community groups looking to enhance learning through outdoor education. We offer engaging, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, teamwork, resilience and a greater appreciation for the natural environment.

Schools can choose from one of our pre-planned outdoor learning sessions, which are designed to support curriculum objectives and can be viewed in our School Hire Booklet.
